It would be funny if it weren’t so sad.

So, I changed my Grindr description to say, “Not into racist douchebags. Just a preference.”

That got flagged and taken down.

So. Let’s recap what’s cool to put in your profile on Grindr. 

Saying “no spice, no rice, no blacks,” is OK.

Saying “No racist douchebags,” is not OK. 

I’m thinking about putting up a quote from an old South African apartheid sign like, “For use by white persons only. These public premises and the amenities thereof are reserved for the exclusive use of white persons,” to see if they take that down or not. Maybe I’ll put up a picture of some fascist Rock Against Communism band just for funsies.

I really want to see if Grindr is cool with apartheid but not with saying “no racist douchebags.”
